"Its
indexing and searching speed is very fast. I found
dtSearch to be very easy to use and was producing
impressive results very quickly."

For Best Evidence 4, the decision was made to
move all files to HTML. A custom interface was designed
using Visual Basic and several new features were added.
A new search engine had to be found which would provide
long-time users of Best Evidence with features
they were used to, such as Boolean searching and highlighting
of search hits.
Programmer Dan Barron explored several search engines
but finally chose dtSearch. "What attracted me to
dtSearch was it's flexibility and speed. I like the fact
that it can be embedded in a program, or run on a web
site. And its indexing and searching speed is very fast.
I found dtSearch to be very easy to use and was producing
impressive results very quickly. The support team is very
responsive."
Best Evidence 4 was released in April 2000 at
the ACP-ASIM's Annual Session.
