Search Days and Months

To include dates in dtSearch Desktop/Network select "Automatically recognize dates, email addresses and credit card numbers in text" from the Menu option: Options > Preferences > Indexing Options

Date recognition in dtSearch looks for anything that appears to be a date, using English-language months (including common abbreviations) and numerical formats.  Examples of date formats that are recognized include:

January 11, 2010

11 Jan 10

2010/01/11

1/11/10

1-11-10

The eleventh of January, two thousand ten

 

To search for a date, put "date( )" around the date expression or range.  For example, to find any of the expressions above near the word "apple", search for:


date(jan 11 2010) w/10 apple
