APPENDIX

Known Issues and limitations

1.0 Build 4491 (Released 18 April 2012)

1. Microsoft Search Thesaurus Replacement sets will be displayed, and can be created, but the

Edit and Delete functions are non-functional for one-to-many pattern Replacement sets and the

Rename, Edit and Delete functions are non-functional for many-to-one Replacement sets.

Build 4476 (Beta)

1. Microsoft Search Thesaurus Replacement sets will be displayed, and can be created, but the

Rename, Edit, and Delete functions are non-functional for Replacement sets. There must be a minimum of two Expansion sets in any thesaurus file containing a Replacement set.

2. dtSearch Macro files can be imported and created. This version has a known bug when handling files containing Macros with multiple groups and multiple substitution words or phrases. Single word or phrase substitutions are handled correctly.

Build 4453 (Beta)

1. Limited support for Microsoft Search thesaurus* files:

Files can be imported and will be automatically recognised but Replacement groups will be ignored.  Expansion groups can be created and edited but Replacement groups cannot be created.

Compatible with files from SQL iFTS (SQL server Integrated Full Text Search), SharePoint Search 2007  through 2010 and Microsoft Search Service 2010.

Macro and Microsoft Search Thesaurus files are now stored in separate folders to prevent accidental merging of mixed file types.

Build 4426 (Beta)

1.Limited support for SharePoint thesaurus. The sample_sharepoint_example file can be imported and will be automatically recognised, but all buttons are disabled. Expansion ID only will  be displayed in this version.

2.dtSearch Macro files: dtSearch Desktop Macros with more than one line are saved inside CDATA blocks in the XML file, User Thesaurus Plus saves imported Macro files without the CDATA tags. Normal operation is not affected.

3. Merge is intended for merging files of the same type, i.e. either two thesaurus files or two macro files. Care should be taken to avoid merging a macro file with a thesaurus file, there is no warning if this is attempted.
